Holland Dance Festival organizes customized educational dance programs. Dance literally and figuratively puts children in motion.
The power of dance
Dance literally gets children moving and provides fun. Watching dance provides a fresh perspective on contemporary dance art and teaches children to experience the non-verbal power of dance. It also gives them the opportunity to become more self-aware by being introduced to dance translations of themes that connect to their world.
Dance connects and eliminates social differences. In addition to physical-motor skills, dance contributes to the development of various (21st-century) competencies.
Think of social-emotional components, developing musicality or developing and expressing creativity.
A customized dance program
The 'See, Do, Reflect and Experience' packages are suitable for special and regular education and are customized.
For example, you can choose to visit a dance performance with the class and reflect on it, but a broader program can also be arranged in which students themselves go onto the dance floor. Holland Dance Festival also offers expertise promotion for teachers who want to work with dance in the classroom.
